NOMINATIONS FROM SOUTHLAND

MR PATRICK APPOINTED SOLE SELECTOR

Six Southland players have been nominated for consideration for inclirsion in the New Zealand women’s cricket team which will visit Australia next month.

They are Miss M. Thomas (Collegiate), Miss I. Dickson (Collegiate), Miss B. Ingram (Collegiate), Mrs E. Blackie (Collegiate), Miss C. Baker (Mataura), Miss H. Maley (Mataura). Four of these players will be selected by the Southland Association to take part in a special trial match at Christchurch on Thursday and Friday. Mr W. R. Patrick; coach to the Southland Cricket Association, has been appointed sole selector of the New Zealand team.
