BELGIAN PILOT KILLED IN CRASH
PARACHUTE ENTANGLED WITH MACHINERY OSTEND, October 18. Passengers who had just landed from the Dover-Ostend Channel boat were horrified to see a Belgian Air Force flyer crash into the harbour nearby. The pilot’s parachute became entangled in the machine and he was dashed fatally against the dock wall. The other occupant parachuted safely among the houses on the outskirts of Ostend. The accident was caused by the pLne grazing another in mid-air. The second machine landed safely.
