THEATRE MATINEES PROHIBITED
PARALYSIS AREA IN MELBOURNE (Received October 15, 11.35 p.m.) MELBOURNE, October 15. Picture theatre proprietors who intended resuming matinees in suburbs where schools have reopened have been served with notice from the Paralysis Consultative Council not to reopen. The Cinematograph Exhibitors’ Association announced today it intende4 to seek compensation from the Government owing to the heavy losses suffered through the epidemic. The total of the cases is now 536.
