The Congress of the International Association for the Defence of Culture opened at Valencia lately. The principal theme of the speakers, said to represent 52 countries, was the defence of literature against Fascist aggression and control. The Prime Minister of the Valencia Government, Dr Negrin, and Senor del Vayo addressed the Congress.
