COMMUNITY SING

THEATRE WELL FILLED The Civic Theatre was again well filled last evening for the community sing in aid of the funds of the Plunket Society. The song leaders were Messrs C. Trim and P. Linton Hodge, who were attired in pierrot costume. Mr Howard Moody was accompanist. During the evening many cheerios were called and several articles auctioned. The final for the season will be held on September 28. The assisting artists were popular, Mr Tano Fama’s sketches being particularly well received. The items by the other artists, Miss Gloria Bull’s pupils, Mr C. Payne, Mr R. G. Henry, Mr W Wilson (Winton) and the American School of Dancing, with Mr Allan McKenzie as soloist, were also, enjoyed.
