WALL STREET TAKES UPWARD JUMP
SUSTAINED EUROPEAN BUYING (Received September 15, 8.55 p.m.) NEW YORK, September 14. Reversing its recent reactionary trend with a suddenness that stimulated heavy short covering, the stock market turned upwards, the gains reaching seven points and 1510 shares being traded. Brokers with foreign affiliations said there was a well sustained flow of European buying. Today’s market suggested more normal conditions.
