BOY SCOUT MOVEMENT

DOMINION COMMISSIONER RECEIVES HIS WARRANT (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 24. The acting Dominion Chief Commissioner of the Boy Scouts’ Association. Mr Hector Christie, of Wanganui, this morning received his warrant at the hands of the Chief Scout for New Zealand (Lord Galway). The warrant, which was issued by lihperial Headquarters, London, bears the signature of the World Chief Scout (Lord Baden Powell) and authorizes Mr Christie to act as Dominion Chief Commissioner. In making the presentation his Excellency expressed considerable interest in the development of scouting in the Dominion. Mr Christie has been associated with the boy scout movement for almost 15 years and has given outstanding services to the organization. Some three years ago he received the honorary medal of merit in recognition of his valued services to the movement.
