CONDITION OF ROADS

To The Editor Sir, —Would you kindly allow me space in your paper to make a few remarks about the state of the roads in the Winton, Hokonui and Browns district. The bridge over the Otapiri stream is in a bad state and it is only a matter of time before an accident wjll probably occur there. Unless a motorist has a new car built on streamline design, he wifi get a bad jolting. I think it is high time something was done to build the roads a little safer. Hoping those responsible will do something more in future than is being done at present.—Yours, etc, ANTI-POTHOLE. June 14, 1937.
