GERMAN ARMY BOOTS CAUSE BAD FEET

DANGER OF SERIOUS DECLINE IN HEALTH LONDON, May 23. The Berlin correspondent of The Daily Telegraph states that over 50 per cent, of young Germans have abnormal feet, which is the chief cause of spinal weakness, because of the heavy top boots worn by Nazi Guards, Storm Troopers, Labour Corps and Hitler Youth. This is the opinion of Professor Scheade, a foot specialist. He attributes these developments to the wearing of heavily-nailed boots at a very early age and to marching on hard roads. If the imminent danger of a further decline in health is to be averted Hitler Youths must give up heavy boots, even if it involves abandonment of prevalent ideas about the militarization of German boys.
