FREE KINDERGARTEN COUNCIL

REPORTS CONSIDERED AT MONTHLY MEETING At the monthly meeting of the Free Kindergarten' Council Miss Birss presided ovei- the following members:— Mesdames Aldridge, Checketts, Edwards, Grant, E. E. Smith, W. E. Smith, Davidson, Cochrane, McKeever and Rout and Misses Hanan, Isaacs and Selby. Miss McCarroll, of the Kew Kindergarten, reported that the roll number was 41, with an average attendance of 29. The visitors for the month were Mesdames Cochrane, Aldridge and Low and Miss Birss.

Miss Scandrett, of the Ritchie street kindergarten, reported that the roll number was 30, with an average attendance of 29. Thanks were expressed to Mrs Cochrane and Miss Birss for toys and Miss Selby for picture books. The visitors for the month were Mrs Cochrane and Miss Birss. Miss McKeever, of the Ranui Kindergarten, reported that the roll number was 39, with an average attendance of 29.5. The first afternoon of the Mothers’ Club was held during the month There was a good attendance of new mothers. Regret was expressed at the loss of two members, Mesdames Blomfield and H. Rout Miss King, of the Wharepuna Kindergarten, reported that the roll number was 32, with an average attendance of 25.3. The Mothers’ Club had met for the second time in the past month. The visitors were Mesdames Cochrane, Checketts and Stirland. It was stated that the combined sale would be held ir» St. John’s hall on Wednesday, June 18.
