ELECTION FOR CITY COUNCIL (Received April 25, 9.30 p.m.) BRISBANE, April 25. The elections for the Greater Brisbane Council on Saturday, which created interest throughout Queensland, as they were a possible pointer for the forthcoming State elections, resulted in Labour going back with an overwhelming majority, possibly equal to its former representation of 13 to 7. Unofficial Labour so far has 12 seats and the Citizens’ Municipal Party 7.
