Waikana DANCE IN AID OF SCHOOL FUNDS

A dance was held in the school re-: cently in aid of a fund for the installation of a wireless set in the school. The music was supplied by Messrs I. Haggitt and R. Dennis. At the supper interval Mr Dennis announced the winners of the various competitions held as follows: —Cake, Mr Peterson (Invercargill); cushion, Mrs Balloch (Mataura); goose, Mr Watt (Mataura); mystery parcel, Mr A. Gillies (Mataura). Due in a large measure to the efforts of Mr R.
