HUSBAND ACCUSED OF MURDER

WIFE DIES OF BULLET WOUNDS (Received April 20, 11.55 p.m.) SANTA CRUZ (California), April 20. Mrs Boggs, who was shot by her husband, Major Allan Boggs, died of her wounds. Major Boggs will be charged with murder.

Major Boggs, aged 53, a retired Army officer, on his return home early on Sunday morning found a note from his wife saying that she had gone to spend the night with a friend. Major Boggs, fearing that she was unfaithful, took a revolver and forced his way into the friend’s house. Be found his wife in a bedroom, occupying one bed, and in the other bed what appeared to be a man’s form. He shot and critically wounded his wife, and their own 12-year-old son, Denny, ran screaming from the other bed. Major Boggs unsuccessfully attempted to commit suicide.
