COMPENSATION FOR LAND
CROWN TO PAY <£40,231

WELLINGTON, April 19. The Crown is to pay £27,924 to J. E. Butler, Ltd., and £12,307 to the Wellesley Club as compensation for the land and buildings taken for the new Government block bounded by Ballance, Stout, and Maginnity streets, awards to this effect being made by the Compensation Court today.
