Wairio SPRING FLOWER SHOW

MISSIONARY UNION At the first flower show held by the Wairio Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union the display was very creditable. The Rev. E. B. Stevenson, of Nightcaps, spoke and the show was officially opened by the Rev. R. Dun, of Oreti. The judges of the various sections commented favourably on the quality of the exhibits, the narcissi and polyanthus blooms being above the average. In the art section the judge said that some of the entries were outstanding. The school work was also excellent. Mrs J. Ayton was secretary. The results were:— POT PLANTS AND SHRUBS. (Judge: Mr J.
