Browns Notes

Mr and Mrs W. Gerken, Knapdale, spent the week-end with Mr and Mrs J. Patton. Mrs J. Buchanan spent a few days in Invercargill last week. Miss Forbes, of Auckland, spent a few days last week with her sister, Mrs J. Patton.

Miss R. Voice, Oreti, spent the weekend with her parents, Mr and Mrs ’ E. C. Voice.

The Lora Gorge Revellers held a successful concert and dance in the Hokonui hall. Messrs Taylor and Stevens spoke on behalf of the concert party, while Mr H. Anderson replied on behalf of the hall committee. A competition was won by Mr P. McNaughton. Music for the dance was suppleid by Messrs D. R. Brown and J. McMaster and extras by Mrs Young and Miss Barker. Mr R. Gill was master of ceremonies.
