APPOINTMENT IN CHRISTCHURCH

The Rev. I. L. Richards, vicar of All Saints’ parish, Gladstone, has been appointed vicar of St. Luke’s P?! 15 "’ Christchurch, to succeed the Rev. F. N Taylor, who has been transferred to the Amberley parish. He will begin his new duties in December. Mr Richards, who is a son of the late Bishop Richards, of Dunedin, was educated at Christ’s College. . He later went to England to complete his studies. Fourteen years ago he took over his first parish, at Palmerston. He remained there for four and a-half years, before his appointment to a vicarship at Anderson’s Bay, Dunedin. After seven years at that parish he was appointed to his present position. Mr Richards, who has been two and a-half years in Invercargill, is keenly interested in sport of all kinds, especially in aviation. He has obtained his A licence in flying.
