MAGISTRATE’S COURT
FRIDAY.
(Before Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M.) A civil servant, whose name was suppressed, appeared on a judgment summons claim. Mr R. T. Meredith appeared for the judgment creditor, and Mr J. C. Prain for the judgment debtor. It was disclosed during the hearing that the substance of the action was a betting transaction. The Magistrate at this stage refused to allow the case to go any further and refused to make an order.
