SCHOOL COMMITTEES’ ASSOCIATION
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The quarterly meeting of the Southland School Committees’ Association was held in the Education Board room last evening. Mr J. Walker presided over the following members: Messrs J. Pickard, W. Laytham, F. G. Stevenson, T. Daniel, J. Fathers (Winton), F. Henderson, W. Carswell, C. T. Beaton (Bluff) and F. H. Pearce (Bluff). The chairman, who represented the Southland Association at the annual conference of associations in Dunedin, reported on the remits which were discussed and adopted. He was thanked for his report. Several matters were discussed for report to the various committees. It was unanimously decided to hold the next quarterly meeting at Bluff. — - ,
