MEMORIAL TO SIR JOSEPH WARD TO BE CONSIDERED. (United Press Association.) Wellington, September 10. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. Seven days’ leave of absence was granted to the Hon. L. M. Isitt (Christchurch) on account of illness. Replying to the Hon. R. McCallum (Blenheim), the Leader of the Council (the Hon. M. Fagan) said that the Government would give consideration to the question of the erection of a memorial to Sir Joseph Ward. The Whakatane Paper Mills Limited Water Supply Empowering Bill was read the first time. The Council adjourned at 2.35.
