PHYSICAL DEFECTS OF BRITONS
HEAVY COST ESTIMATED. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) London, September 9. Professor Percy Lelean, in his presidential address to the Scottish Royal Sanitary Association, estimated that physical unfitness was costing Britain about £220,000,000 a year. “If diet and exercise were remedied the national physique would be visibly improved in two years and would be restored in two generations,” he declared.
