BIFT IN FRENCH CABINET
PROBLEMS FOR M. BLUM UNEASINESS ALL OVER CONTINENT RENEWAL OF STRIKES (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 1.25 a.m.) Paris, September 9. Another rift in the French Popular Front has again aroused anxiety about the future of M. Leon Blum’s Government. Widespread uneasiness all over the Continent is reflected by a sudden weakness in gold currencies. Seven thousand workers in the Michelin tyre factory yesterday downed tools, occupied the factory and hoisted the Red Flag. Strikes also occurred in Paris and eastern, central and southern France. A general strike has began in all works and factories in Marseilles. M. Blum hopes to avoid summoning Parliament until November, but the situation may compel an earlier assembly.
