MRS MARKHAM’S FLIGHT
CONGRATULATIONS FROM THE AIR MINISTER. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, September 8. The Secretary for Air (Viscount Swinton) has sent to Mrs Beryl Markham, the first aviatrix to fly the Atlantic from east to west, the following telegram: “Hearty congratulations on your splendid achievement.”
