STUD SHEEP SOLD AT MELBOURNE
CORRIEDALES SURPASS MERINOS. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 12.5 a.m.) Melbourne, August 6. Corriedales again surpassed Merinos at the concluding stud sheep sales today for the highest price and the highest average. A two-year-old special Corriedale stud ram brought 170 guineas. The highest Merino was sold for 140 guineas. The Rakaia Southdowns were not sold; little interest was shown in Southdowns. A champion Ryeland ewe brought 80 guineas.
