“During the last two months there have been more inquiries for extensions of lines than I can remember for any other similar period,” reported Mr L. B. Hutton, engineer to the Southland Electric Power Board, to the monthly meeting of the board yesterday. He added that the country was being scoured for poles, and that the question of getting additional supplies would soon have to be considered.
