DISCUSSION ON 40-HOUR WEEK. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7.30 p.m.) Geneva, June 13. The Textile Committee of the International Labour Conference adopted by 15 votes to 10 a resolution proposing a discussion of the suggested draft convention for a 40-hour week in the textile industry, with a view to its adoption by a full conference. After this Mr Ashurst, the British employers’ delegate, announced that the employers’ group, with the exception of U.S.A., would not further participate in the discussions.
