A NEW LOCARNO
GERMAN HOPE FOR THE FUTURE PEACE WITH WESTERN NEIGHBOURS (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright) (Rec. 11.45 p.m.) Berlin, June 11. The German Ambassador-at-Large (Herr Joachim von Ribbentrop), prefacing a collection of ( diplomatic documents covering the history of the Locarno Treaty which will shortly be published, declares that Germany wishes nothing more earnestly than the negotiation of a new Locarno, but emphasizes that if the new treaty cannot be concluded without a contribution by Germany to a solution of the Rhineland question it will take a long time in the making. “Germany will not permit further discussion over her regained sovereignty in the Rhineland,” he says. “Germany is more interested in the future than in the pas 1 ,” he adds. “It is Germany’s earnest desire to conclude a true and final peace with her neighbours and build in the west a new Locarno.?
