TOKANUI SPORTS

COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAMME. The programme for the Tokanui sports on December 27 is a comprehensive one and includes the following bushcraft events: 12in underhand chop, 12in standing chop, 15in underhand chop, 18in double-handed sawing, and 18in double-handed sawing (man and woman). In the running section there are the following; Tokanui Sheffield, 100 yards, worth £8 to the winner; 220 yards, 440 yards, 880 yards, and mile. Married women, single women and married men have not been overlooked. In the dancing section there are seven events. The children will be catered for during the afternoon. Winning competitors will this year at the conclusion of their event be handed a card to present to the secretary authorizing him to pay out prize-money. Prize-money will be paid by cheque. Those wishing to have their cheques cashed may do so on the ground.
