RAILWAY LABORATORY
STUDY OF RAIL MATERIALS. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, December 11. The London, Midland and Scottish Railway has established a laboratory the main function of which will be to examine the qualities of the chief materials used by the railway, such as metals, woods, paints and varnish. There is also a department in 'which the effect of streamlining can be studied and measured. The laboratory was formally opened by Lord Rutherford.
