OAMARU BREAKWATER

LARGE QUANTITY OF STONE SECURED. (Per United Press Association.) Oamaru, November 7. The second Harbour Board shot fired in the board’s quarry this morning was completely successful. Fully 40,000 tons were obtained, only a quarter being spoil, the rest all good breakwater stone.

The total cost was £3OO compared with £lO3O for the first shot when there was brought out 65,000 tons, twothird spoil. The material will be used in the breakwater extension.
