ESCAPE OF OCCUPANTS.. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m,) Sydney, November 5. When a plane they were flying over the Blue Mountains caught fire in midair, Rex Nicholl, aged 26, a Tasman flyer, and Albert Needham, aged 29, had miraculous escapes from" death. They managed to bring the machine down at the bottom of a deep gorge and escaped with slight facial injuries. The plane was wrecked. The men took the compass from the plane and walked all yesterday through bush and eventually reached Newnes Junction, near Lithgow, last night.
