MR HUGHES’S POSITION DISCUSSED. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 11.55 p.m.).. Melbourne, Nov. 5. A special meeting of the Federal Cabinet was held to-day to consider the position of Mr W. M. Hughes, who was not present. The Prime Minister, Mr Lyons, stated afterwards that there was no change in the situation, but a communication had been sent to Mr Hughes, who intends to make his reply in the House of Representatives at Canberra probably to-morrow.
