New Plymouth, November 2. Although thrown from a car and hurled on the road heavily, Mrs A. Dobbin, of Hursthouse Road, escaped with minor injuries when the car she was driving was struck by the express at Inglewood yesterday. Mrs Dobbin, accompanied by her 11-year-old son, was driving an open small car and was almost across the line when the train was struck by the engine. It was thrown clear, Mrs Dobbin being thrown out.
