INFORMATION FOR ANGLERS. Messrs A. and W. Hamilton report the state of the rivers to be as follows:— Oreti.—Slightly above normal, but clear. Aparima.—Clear and in good order. Makarewa.—Very low. Orawia.—Low and clear. Hedgehope.—Low and clear. Otapiri and Lora.—Very low. Mataura.—Discoloured; about normal. Wyndham.—Low. Mimihau.—Low. Waimea. —Very low. Otamita.—Very low. Waiau.—About normal and clearing.
