FOUND SHOT
YOUNG MAN’S DEATH.
(Per United Press Association.) Rotorua, October 18. A shooting tragedy occurred last evening in the staff quarters of Brent s Bathgate House when Lorence Williamson, aged 23, was found hudctlea up beside his bed, dead, with a bullet wound in the head and a pearifle lying partially under the bed. Deceased was last seen about 8 p.m. when he refused an invitation to go to the pictures and had apparently been dead about an hour when the discovery was made by a porter. Deceased was a painter employed by Brent’s, Limited, and had been living on the premises for the past 18 months. Detectives White and Thompson, of Hamilton, investigated the case and although circumstances at first were believed to be suspicious it is understood the police hold the theory that death was either self-inflicted or due to an accident.
