ALLEGED MURDER
CHARGE AGAINST MUSICIAN. A FURTHER REMAND. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland. September 11. Eric Mareo, aged 41, the well-known musician, who was arrested on September 2 and charged with the murder of his wife, Thelma Clarice Mareo on April 15, made his second appearance in the Court this morning. Mr K. Catekins, on behalf of the accused, said he understood the Crown would be ready to proceed with the case on September 30. Senior-Detective Hall asked for a remand to September 30, which Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., granted, with the consent of the accused’s counsel.
