CHILD DROWNED IN CREEK.

(Per United Press Association..) Hastings, July 22.

A boy named Geoffrey Clifford Rasmussen, aged two years and nine months, was drowned while playing with another little boy at Ongaonga this morning. . The father of the dead boy is Mr Clifford Rasmussen, farm labourer. The two boys were playing near a creek in the township and both of them fell into the water from a plank bridge on which they had walked. The other boy managed to get out of the water and informed his mother, and as a result the body of Geoffrey Rasmussen was found 15 minutes later.
