LIGHT CALENDAR

WELLINGTON SUPREME COURT.

(Per United Press Association.)

Wellington, July 22. A comparatively light calendar and the absence of serious crimes was commented on by the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, at the opening of the criminal sessions to-day. There are eight indictments against nine persons. Sir Michael Myers reminded the Grand Jury that they could make presentments to the Court on any case if they desired, saying this was a privilege which was not greatly availed of in recent years. He thought it should be recognized that such a valuable privilege existed.
