LAHORE RIOTS
STONES THROWN AT TROOPS.
POLICE STATION BESIEGED.

The Moslem crowd did not disperse throughout the night. It increased in the morning and became violent by throwing stones. The troops fired six rounds, four persons being killed. The mob is still besieging the police station and the Royal Scots, facing volleys of brickbats and stones, fired three times at the Moslem rioters, killing several. CROWDS DISPERSE QUIETLY. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 11.50 p.m.) Lahore, July 22. After sitting in the same place for 36 hours, Moslem crowds dispersed quietly last night following an appeal by their leaders. An official communique says there are now adequate forces to deal with the situation. No serious reactions have been reported anywhere outside the city.
