THOUSANDS DROWNED
FLOOD DISASTER IN CHINA. PROVINCES UNDER WATER. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Shanghai, July 18. It is estimated that 2000 square miles of Shantung province are inundated by flood waters. Fourteen thousand bodies have been recovered in two cities in Hupeh province. The death roll is at least 50,000. The Yellow river, floods are believed to have drowned 30,000.
