Original Story

CHICKENS. Possibly the competition this week suggested the story about chickens to Cousin Julie. It is well written and this Cousin has succeeded in saying what she means without using unnecessary words. I am going to tell you about our chickens. When they are one or two days old, they look like litle balls of yellow fluff. They were very ugly at first but now they are nice and white. I have to feed them every morning and night with hard boiled eggs and oatmeal.. —2 marks to Cousin Julie McKeever (9), Pomona road.
