CAR SKIDS
CRASH INTO TELEGRAPH POLE. OCCUPANTS INJURED. (Per United Press Association.) Palmerston North, January 28. While Mrs R. Edwards, of Palmerston North, with members of her family and friends, was motoring to Foxton Beach yesterday, the car skidded in loose metal on the road between Foxton township and the beach. The vehicle crashed into a telegraph pole, suffering extensive damage. Mrs Edwards received bruises and shock; her daughter, Marcella Edwards, a broken arm and head injuries and shock; her son, R. Edwards, a broken nose; Josephine Hudson, of Thames, cuts and abrasions, and Molly d’Ath, of Eltham, a fractured ankle. All were admitted to hospital.
