BURIED TREASURE

COINS FOUND BY FARMER. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) London, January 27. A farmer at Muckleford, near Dorchester noticed some gold coins which had been unearthed by some cattle grazing near a ditch. When he dug around the place he found a collection of 100 coins, comprising sovereigns, half-sovereigns and crowns minted in the reigns of James the First and Charles the First. The Coroner will hold a treasure trove inquiry. Five miles away a hoard of Roman coins was found in 1934.
