To the Editor.
Sir, —Allow me to congratulate you on your write-up of the Sanders Cup Memorial Contest, being held at Stewart Island.
The public well know that it is a living memorial to a brave New Zealander who won the V.C., and whose body now lies on the floor of the ocean, along with many more brave men.—l am, etc.,
SOUTHLANDER.
