WAIPUKURAU ASSOCIATION.

GOOD ENTRIES.

Waipukurau, January 23 A successful show and gymkhana was held by the Waipukurau Agricultural and Pastoral Association to-day. The weather was fine, there was a large attendance and the entries were good in all sections. Frank Ormond, John Wilson and A. W. Parsons were principal prize-win-ners in the fat sheep and lambs’ section. The award for the champion hack went to Mr Parsons’s Spearopa. Master Bruce Bousefield’s Tango was the most successful pony. The competition in the axemen s events included the New Zealand championship 16in. standing chop, which was won by W. Johnston. A. Connelly was second and M. C. Parker third.
