“RIVERTON ROCKS.”
To the Editor.
Sir—lt was thoughtful of your correspondents “Disgusted” and “Visitor” to draw attention to matters connected with “The Rocks”, for which they are thanked. _ _ , . The governing body, The Rocks Association, which is composed of a few crib-owners, have in previous years worked hard and provided facilities for the benefit of* visitors. Unfortunately, no assistance has been given by visitors, and many crib-owners object to the money being spent for their benefit entirely. Last year the association was in debt to the extent of £75, and the tennis courts were getting into a state of dis-repair while swings, etc., had to be removed owing to lack of funds for their repair. Satisfactory arrangements were made in regard to the tennis courts, and the association is now free of debt. A public meeting of the association will be called shortly, when suggestions will be brought forward to improve the position, and the association invites anyone interested to attend the meeting and lend their practical support.—l am, etc., J. McCROSTIE, Hon. Secr»t.<ry.
