BRICKS AND BOUQUETS.
To the Editor.
Sir,—ls it ignorance or arrogance, ballyhoo or bombast, or is it simply propaganda which is the reason that makes the local radio session announcements sound like a continual recital of 4ZP, 4ZP, 4ZP this, 4ZP that; owned and operated etc., etc. In marked contrast to this nauseating inanity was the session conducted by “Cousin George” on Saturday F.ight, who made use of the pronoun we , giving zest to what, in the past, has been a monotonous session. So marked was the welcome interlude that it is evident that “Cousin George” is tacitly aware of the jarring effect on listeners of twenty-eight such announcements in thirty minutes as was the case on a recent Thursday night. Bravo! “Cousin George” may your emphatic, nod not be missed by the other members of your team. We are, GtC ’’ THE GRUNDY FAMILY.
