BOMBS MADE

DUAL PURPOSE MACHINE. SAUSAGES IN DAYTIME. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) Dublin, December 7. A machine which made sausages in the daytime and bombs at, night-time was described in the Cork Circuit Court in an action in which William McLaren was awarded £ll2 compensation and £4O costs. , He said that during the Anglo-Irish troubles he equipped a foundry for making Republican Army munitions. He had an innocent looking machine in his confectionery shop. Whenever the police called he was turning out sausages, but after darkness the machine was connected with a contrivance which made bombs. The Free State troops later destroyed the machine.
