Both vessels were beached and the crews landed safely. . Tire ketch Aristides has arrived after being twenty-two days out from Hobart, having been weatherbound for over a week. Once she was almost swamped, and her sails were ripped to tatters. Captain T. Spaulding, who is over seventy years of age, was lashed to the wheel for forty-eight hours. He was frequently submerged by big seas. The bulwarks of the Aristides were smashed on both sides.
