MOTOR COLLISION
SERIES OF CHARGES. DECISION RESERVED. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, December 5. Decision was reserved to-day by Mr E. Page, S.M., in the case in which Beryl Catherine Walker, a young married woman, was charged with negligent driving. John Alexander Walker, her husband, and Marion Dath, her mother, who were passengers in the car, were charged with being drunk. Percy James Martin, on the information of Mrs Walker, was also charged with negligent driving and failing to keep to the left. The charges arose from a collision between cars driven by Mrs Walker and Martin on the main road at Pahautanui on October 13 and the case was resumed to-day after a hearing lasting the whole day on Friday. Mrs Walker, in giving evidence today, contended that two of the wheels of Martin’s car had been on the wrong tide of the centre of the road.
